Now Hiring: Art Director/Senior Graphic Designer

Saltworks Digital is a Salt Lake City-based digital marketing agency serving clients across North America. We’re looking for an Art Director/Senior Graphic Designer to join our team.

Job Description

The Art Director/Senior Graphic Designer role at Saltworks requires a person who can think both strategically and creatively to create content that cuts through the clutter to resonate with the end consumer/customer. The person in this role should be prepared to take ownership of creative development for all types of digital content and any needed print content. Since we’re a small agency, this is a hands-on position for someone who loves to conceptualize and design content on a daily basis. In this role, you would work closely with clients we represent in a variety of industries including recycling, culinary arts, financial services, hospitality/restaurants, and health insurance.

This position includes excellent compensation and a flexible schedule.

What You Will Do

  • Conceptualize and design engaging and easy-to-use websites for our clients with the goal of “converting visitors into customers”
  • Write and design engaging and interesting digital including websites, marketing funnels, social media posts, ads for TikTok/Instagram/Facebook, marketing emails, video, and long-form articles/guides
  • Write and design engaging print content including brochures, signage, and business cards

What You Will Need To Bring to The Table

  • 5+ years of relevant experience creating exceptional digital content
  • Excellent copywriting and graphic design skills
  • A talent for leveraging text, video, photography, illustration, iconography, and other elements to create engaging and clever websites and marketing pieces
  • The ability to find creative solutions within a predefined style guide, or when needed, lead the development of an updated style guide
  • Ability to design websites based on a mobile-first responsive design approach
  • A willingness to benchmark and monitor competitors’ (and industry leaders’) content to apply best practices, develop new ideas, and improve the overall media content strategy
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely with people across the organization throughout the planning and development of content
  • Highly organized and excellent attention to detail including mastery of spelling/grammar, punctuation, sentence structure
  • A commitment to double-checking and triple-checking all work before being sent to the client, and working with others in the company to be the “second set of eyes” to help with these checks
  • An ability to work on multiple projects and tasks at the same time

Software You Must Know How to Use

  • Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) is a must
  • Adobe Premiere or After Effects is a bonus
  • Working knowledge of Figma or Adobe XD is a bonus
  • Basic project management software (We use ClickUp)
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, and Slides

Type of Position

Hybrid/remote position with 25-30% of the time at our Murray, UT office.
