In 2016, Washington D.C.-based Allen Media Strategies asked Saltworks to design a new logo and develop a website for The Snow Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit and the single largest supporter of Wolfram Syndrome research in the world. Marketing challenges included a lack of awareness of Wolfram Syndrome and of the foundation itself. The existing logo do not include any reference to the disease that Snow was helping to find a cure for.
At Saltworks, we believed it was crucial to add the phrase “for Wolfram Syndrome Research” to the new logo design. The idea was to move the question in the minds of people in the target audience from “What is the Snow Foundation?” to the next logical question, “What is Wolfram Syndrome?”, saving valuable time in the education process.
